In the context of  the "Knowledge, Culture, Ecologies" conference that took place in November 2017 in Santiago, Chile,  Denis Byrne (Western Sydney University) and Cristián Simonetti (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile), organized the panel "Concrete in the Anthropocene". The panel invited to explore from multiple disciplinary angles the historically profound entanglements of humans and concretes.
